Department of Sociology: A Study of Man, Society and Social Relationships. Sociology, a scholarly discipline, aims at understanding and exploring the origin, development, organization and functioning of human society. Department of Sociology is an Honors and Master's teaching department of Moulvibazar Government Women’s College, Moulvibazar. This department has started BSS (Honors) and MSS (Master’s) teaching activities since academic session 2012-13 and 2021-22 respectively. Along with Honors and Master's courses, this department has been promulgating education of sociology and social relationships at HSC & Degree (Pass) level. Mission: Promoting multi-pluralistic knowledge generation in sociological Settings. Vision: Develop the "Sociological imagination"— the ability to connect personal life experiences to broader social structures and historical contexts There are a total of four faculty posts in this department: One associate professor, one assistant professor, and two lecturers.
